Song video

Asier and I thought about this song right after we were given the topic: Hello, by Adele. A very nostalgic song with broken hearts and corrupted feelings filling the lyrics. We made a kind of recreation inspired by some important scenes of the original videoclip. We finally edited it using a black-and-white filter and we added some short phrases as explanatory quotes.

Comercial Vagina-U

 We've been working on this project since october, and we are really fond of it as we pulled our weight in order to prepare it the best we could. We though about representing the menstruation as a creepy man, and Oihane and I were two human beings with functional vaginals. Finally, Dune was the Vagina-U, saving us from suffering.

The video was ornamented with a family-friendly song, "Mr.Sandman", socially related to happiness (as it is very tipic on cat videos).

Logo:
We had a hard time deciding which idea for a logo would be the most suitable one, but we finally came up with the best composition. We decided to overlap a kind of circle-shaped triangle with another one. As background, we chose a pink one, representing the so-called pink rate added to the menstruational products. It also resembles the shape of a vagina, strenghtening our innovative brainwave.

We came up with this original comercial, where Asier stars as the menstruation, Oihane and I as two vagina owners, and Dune as the Vagina U.

For this task we were asked to upload a photo we have taken recently, commenting why have we chosen this picture among among the ones taken recently (why does it stand out), commenting the technical sides of it in terms of lighting, colours, scenery...


In this photo we can see two friends (a friend of mine and I) posing on a veranda in the limit of Zurriola beach.
I chose this pic before any other due to its vivid colours (the ones refracted in the sky and clouds) and the awesome background (in contrast to the models).

I liked the contrast between yellow and blue made by the sunset and the bluish sky. The way the sea glistens at this colour mix made me feel so cautivated. Furthermore, the sand gets a golden look under the sun beams.

I also have chosen this photo because of its dificulty to be taken, as I had to take it with a tripode, and to be honest, turned out to be tough as hell.

First Term Evaluation

I have found this term quite interesting, especially when doing the EDL video, even though it did not go as we expected. The little limit we got while thinking on what to do for each task was also a great aspect of it,  and I liked the way of managing the tasks by Blogger.

I have done my best to have the entries done when it was required to. However my attitude may have not been the best one, and I will try to improve that on the upcoming terms.

Begiradak

Last we attended a cinema in Gros called Trueba where we watched a sort of short films made by students (except one), and we had the oportunity to talk directly with the director of some well-known films, Jon Garaño.
The film I enjoyed the most watching was, without any doubt, the last one, due to its great technical efects and actings. However, these ones were not actually students, but people with more expertise when it comes to act and edit. I though the topic they worked in was very important and the message against the bullying was clearly pictured.
If I had to choose one among the students, I will surely choose the one were two classmates were flirting and dating while the real main topic was always left apart until the final scene. The use of different angles and blurry efects was brilliant to create the atmosphere they were trying to bring into live. We, the viewers, were just focusing on the only outstanding event whilst a violence and abuse case was happening right behind.
I also feel in the need of mentioning the video set in the 17th century, about two lovers whose love was not accepted (because they were both girls) and where one of the lovers was considered a witch just to justify the bonfire. I enjoyed the film due to its content (telling a side of the Saint Inquisition that isn´t often mentioned) and its technical side, specifically the costumes they wore; they represented so well those ages.
Even though we were able to, we didn´t make too many questions (only Simon) as we didn´t feel like doing it, but I can tell I had a good time. We were also explained what did the directors do in order to  create the visual effects which tend to amaze us.

A TRIP TO THE MOON

A TRIP TO THE MOON

This film was directed by the well-known director George Méliàs, and was released in 1902. It was undoubtedly an outbreak in cinematography as it has a total lenght of 13 minutes, a never-seen-before one in those years. This short film shows a group of magicians who are willing to go and conquer the moon, and for such a task, they build a cannon-propelled capsule. Once they get to the moon, they colonize it right before a group of strange selenials (moon inhabitants) show up and arrest them. The magicians sneak away easily and return to earth; where they are welcomed by a parade.

About the technical side, we can tell the amount of creativity this film required to be shot, the use of different backgrounds, the fishbowl used to imitate the sea. Moreover, the costumes of the selenials actually pulled it off and both the snowing and the launching effects really made it.

YOU:A group of magicians are set in their obserbatory arguing about a topic.
NEED:They try to figure out how to travel to the moon and colonize it.
GO: They build the rocket and they are send to the moon.
SEARCH: Once they get there, they notice a few quirky phenomens.
FIND: After they plant their umbrella on the ground as a sign of colonization, a group of Selenials shows up.
TAKE: They are arrested and they are scolded to the king of the moon.
RETURN: They slip out and they comeback home, with a Selenial.
CHANGE: They do not really make a change, they are just welcomed by other humans.
